Scott's Dutch Oven Potatoes

Ingredients

  • Thinly sliced potatoes (enough to fill dutch oven)
  • 1 lb. backon, cut into chunks
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup butter

Steps

  1. Cut bacon into small chunks and fry in the bottom of the dutch oven. Pour grease off and add butter to bottom of the oven
  2. Add the potatoes and as many onions as you like. Salt and pepper to taste
  3. Cook over a low heat, stirring occasionally, while potatoes are still firm. Cook until potatoes are done, about 45 minutes to an hour.
