Elena's Peanut Butter Brownies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • Frosting
  • 6 Tbsp butter (melted)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2-4 Tbsp cocoa
  • 3/4 tsp milk
  • cream cheese (optional)

Steps

  1. Melt butter, then add to mixing bowl. Add sugars and eggs. Begin mixing on slow
  2. Add oatmeal, peanut butter, salt, baking soda, vanilla and flour. Mix well. Place on ungreased cookie sheet
  3. Pre-heat oven to 350
  4. Bake for 15-17 minutes. As soon as it comes out, put a layer of peanut butter on top so it melts into the brownies.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ingredients for frosting and whip until creamy. Wait until brownies are cool to apply frosting
