Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Parsley
  • 1 Tbsp Basil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 can(s) Diced Tomatoes (1 lb)
  • 1 can(s) Tomato Paste (12 oz)
  • 1 pkg Lasagna Noodles
  • 1 Cottage Cheese (small curd) (Large Container)
  • 2 Eggs (separated)
  • 1 tsp Salt (for meat mixture)
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 2 Tbsp Dried Parsley Flakes
  • 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
  • 1 lb Mozarella Cheese

Steps

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375°. Cook noodles in a large pot of water. Rinse off noodles with cold water when done.
  2. Brown meat slowly and drain off excess fat.
  3. Add chopped parsley, basil, salt, tomatoes, and tomato paste to meat. Simmer.
  4. In separate bowl, combine cottage cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, parsley and parmesan cheese.
  5. Place half of the noodles in a baking dish, then spread half of the cottage cheese mixture over it.
  6. Add mozarella cheese and then a layer of the meat mixture.
  7. Repeat steps 6 and 7.
  8. Place top layer of noodles and finish with a layer of mozarella cheese.
  9. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
